The Ozbozz My First Scooter is a fantastic, fun, multi use scooter for pre-schoolers as it will see your child from 2 years to 4 years with the aid interchanging wheels. So that when you child becomes more confident using the scooter you can adapt the wheels from 4 wheels to 3 and then finally to 2 when they are more stable. The handle bars are at a very good height for a young child to cling onto and to feel safe and stable. The foot space is perfect for little feet and whilst smaller in length is certainly wider than a normal scooter also providing a large surface area and therefore more stability.
My First Scooter is very colourful and is available in blue with green features and also pink with yellow features to suit both boys and girls. Though they are so much fun to use the colour really does not matter! The wheels are quite thick and generous in size. On the foot section is a no slip strip which will help little ones grip their feet onto the scooter and adds extra reassurance for parents.
This is a fantastic product to help younger children develop balance and co-ordination whilst enabling them to keep using the same scooter they will have become accustomed to. The price of £19.99 is very reasonable indeed considering the wheels can be adapted and means that you do not have to buy separate products. This in itself is a fantastic feature!
When the scooter arrived we found the box to be very colourful and smaller in size than expected but the box also had a carry handle which makes it very easy to store and keep the spare wheels safe when not in use. All the necessary information and instructions of use were included and were very sufficient. Once my husband had assembled the scooter we noticed that it was very stable indeed whether with the use of 4 wheels or 2. If not in use or if travelling with the scooter we found it very easy to fold down which made it very portable indeed. It hardly took up any room at all which is good to note for cars with small boots!
20 month old Feedback...
My First Scooter was trialled by Olivia 20 month old daughter who has seen older children on their scooters but never tried to use a scooter by herself. Upon receiving the scooter we assembled with the full 4 wheels which we found very easy to do and it was set up in no time at all. It appeared very safe and secure and at a good height for such a young child to use.
At first Olivia was slightly hesitant and pushed the scooter over instead of trying it out. Although after some persuasion we managed to settle her on the scooter with both feet whilst we pushed her along. She had a very good comfortable grip on the foam covered handles and seemed very happy to be pushed around.
Through continued use each time we play outside my daughter has now learnt how to stand on the scooter with one foot whilst pushing along with the other. I am amazed by her progress at such a young age however I feel this is the perfect scooter for her to have learnt with and am sure Olivia will be using just 3 wheels very soon. Again we did try changing the wheels and found this very easy to change. A must have product and although suitable from 2 years I would have no hesitations in recommending for children aged 18 months upwards as it enables them to get used to standing on the scooter!
2.5 Year old Feedback....
We were given the scooter unassembled and due to our 2 and half year old son being able to use a 3 wheel scooter already only needed to assemble with 3 wheels. This was very easy to do and my husband had no problem making up the scooter well within 15 minutes. Any longer and I think my son would have burst as he was so excited!
The Ozbozz scooter is very colourful and eye catching and for children is certainly an item of curiosity as it is not like any other scooter due to its multi-function use. My son has been using a 3 wheel scooter for a couple of months now and is very confident however I have found that the scooter we have is possibly on the large size for him. My First Scooter suited him very well and was the perfect height with the perfect width foot rest with added grip.
As soon as my son was given the scooter outside he jumped on and zoomed away. He absolutely loved it!! I was really happy with how quickly he adjusted to using this scooter considering it is smaller than his current one. I wish we had known about this scooter sooner as I know he would have loved to have used this from an earlier age. The fact wheels can be taken away depending on your child’s confidence and ability is fantastic and I am sure my son would be just as happy using this on two wheels as he is using 3 wheels!
3.5 Year old Feedback...
Being the youngest of 5 children with several older brothers my daughter has always been able to pick scooters and bikes up and as she is still quite fearless I feel she would never have required a scooter with 4 wheels. She did however like using the Ozbozz My First Scooter with 3 wheels even though she is quite capable of using 2 wheels.
The wheels were very easy to change and after my daughter tried the scooter with 3 wheels we quickly changed it to 2 wheels and she was as happy as Larry! I think for younger children especially this is a very good purchase as it will see them through every stage of their development and for a large family will certainly prove good value for money as it can be adapted to all abilities. The scooter is made from good quality materials and I had every faith in this brand as we already have a 2 wheel Ozbozz scooter used by my older sons. Great scooter, very innovative and was so easy to use!
