Having just completely transformed Liv's bedroom the chance to review a cute Peppa Pig LED lamp from The Character Place came at the right time! Worried that Liv would bump into things in the dark this push button lamp has proved a real godsend as it is so easy for her to use!
The actual push button covers the majority of the lamp base so it is very easy to locate and easy to push on and off. The lamp gives off a gentle blue light from its 6 small LED bulbs. In the past we have used LED lights and torches and the light has not been powerful enough for use but we found that the lamp was brighter than expected! However not bright enough to give your eyes a shock when you turn it on!!
I found the lamp to be very steady as it had a decent sized base to the actual lamp head and is connected by a flexible metal coil. We tested the Peppa Pig themed lamp - the lamp has a pink head and base with a picture of Peppa on each. As Liv loves Peppa Pig this certainly was a great addition to her bedroom and I was fully reassured that the lamp was completely safe. Which when you have a 2 year old who likes to take things apart safety is paramount! The bulbs did not feel hot to touch even when the lamp had been on a while, unlike my lamp which scolds me when I have had it on a while.
The lamp can be powered either with 3 AA batteries or by an adapter (not included). The Character Place sent a pack of batteries (very sweet and thoughtful!) so that we could use the lamp as soon as we received it. I have to admit that even with Liv turning the light on and off for pretty much the whole first day the batteries really did last longer than expected. Another great aspect of LED bulbs! Standing at only 22.5cm, this lamp is perfect for any child's bedroom and comes in a range of colours and themes to suit any tastes or decoration!
Priced at £9.99 each the lamps are very reasonably priced and would make a great addition to any child's bedroom or as a gift!
The Character Place is a wonderful, family run, online shop based in Wales. I have found them fantastic to deal with and nothing has been too much trouble. The range of licensed character themed homeware and tableware items is plentiful and you will be hard pushed NOT to find something suitable for your child! With new products arriving on a regular basis, The Character Place is definitely a shop to add to your Favourites list! I cannot recommend them highly enough for efficiency, pleasantness and quality of products!
