Pros: Super easy to use!
Ever used a product and wished there was a version that made life so much easier? Well if you are like my family having to give your child saline drops to ease a stuffy nose it is a task we do not look forward to! This is where Sterimar Baby shines about the rest!
The first time we used saline drops was when Olivia was 2 weeks old and she had the sniffles. Waiting until she was asleep we would attempt to use a little squeezy bottle of drops but this would soon wake her up and she would be restless. Cue Sterimar Baby the life saver!
Sterimar Baby is a 100% Natural Sea Water Nasal Spray, so how is this different to any other saline product? Well presented in a long slimline box which clearly states the product can be used from birth to 3 years upon opening you will find a pressurised container with a nozzle. The nozzle is super easy to use by gently pressing down on the top, this will release a small spray of saline solution, just enough to be effective. What makes Sterimar different is the fact that due to the nozzle design, the product can be used at any angle. Yes, you read correctly! At any angle! Meaning no more struggles and no more waiting for the littlest family members to be asleep before you can ease their stuffy noses.
I tried the product on myself before I used it on Olivia, just to gauge how easy it was to use and how much saline was actually released. I was surprised by how quick it was to use, no more struggling to squeeze a tiny little bottle that can easily be dropped. Arriving at a time when Olivia was suffering with a stuffy nose, I felt happy to use Sterimar Baby on her and proceeded to stalk her until she was in a sitting position. She was quite curious about the canister and happily let me have one squeeze before she realised what had happened. Starting to struggle I found it very easy to swap nostrils and have one more squirt before I cleaned the nozzle and put the clear, plastic lid back on.
Olivia is now understanding the concept of blowing her nose but still does need a little help and I hate to see her suffering. I am more than happy to recommend the product as it seemed to have an immediate effect and Olivia found herself breathing without complaint. Saline is a product that will no doubt be used in many households and as you can get this from your GP for free why should you spend money on an alternative item? All I can say is why make life harder for yourself, when priced at £4.07 (in Boots) Sterimar causes as little fuss and upset as possible! Definitely something we will keep to hand in our household!
