I was contacted a few weeks ago by the lovely Caroline from Purple Daises with regards to reviewing her product, the Bed Bumper. As Liv is in her own bed now I was very happy to test this product as we do generally hear quite a few bumps during the night and hoped the Bed Bumper could help.
We were sent 50cm and 100cm bumpers to test - perfect as they can be used individually or placed together to extend the bumper. I was quite surprised with how simple the design was and my husband mentioned he did not think they would work. How wrong he was! They did work and so far we have not heard a bump since!
Made from foam, the bed bumpers fit nicely under a sheet and are easily gripped in place due to the non slip nature of the foam bumper against the mattress. As Liv is in her cotbed which is slightly shorted in size than a normal, single bed I found the 100cm bed bumper fit perfectly. I did wonder if the Bed Bumper would take up quite a lot of space in the bed but when in place it was hardly noticeable and I found that Liv still had plenty of space in the bed and did not struggle as I had expected her to do.
As the Bed Bumper is made from foam I knew that rolling over onto the bumper would not hurt Liv and nor would it wake her. The bumpers are very portable as they can easily be folded and transported which will be great for when we next visit our in-laws. A great reassurance that you can quite literally pack and go and know that your child will have a safe and peaceful night's sleep no matter what bed they sleep in.
